SHIVANI + ARJUN

JUST LIKE THAT

Just like that, Arjun brought the energy and positive vibes, and sick dance moves. I can tell he wants to make sure everyone is happy. I’m the same way. It can be at times exhausting to try to give so much of yourself , I can’t imagine trying to make 400 guests happy, I filmed many laughs and tears during the wedding, there was a magic in the air, as cheesy at that sounds. Boba also lended a paw with his special blend of charisma.

I just had to step up my game and surprise them with this teaser film as my way of saying thanks. Thank you, Shivani and Arjun for allowing us to be a part of your journey and genuinely enjoy spending time with your loved ones. We had a blast , ate such delicious and at times impressively spicy food… yes.. making a wedding is all hard work on the couples side and the vendors side, being in a bridal party is hard work… especially in the heat… Arjun hates his photos being taken, but he did great. Everyone did their part and did it well. I sweated through like five different shirts and had to wear shorts like a dork…anyway I finally was able to let go of my ego to get back in the zone after a long bought of depression, losing one of our most beloved pets just a day before the wedding and find a spark of joy that ignited in me to help find the right energy to edit and bring joy to these already happy people with my work. I was told that guests were actually chanting “FRANK FRANK FRANK!!” right after my surprise video edit screening during the reception. Thats awesome, and makes me feel like I had a positive impact in the world. I love bringing joy to people. That Disney song “Let it Go” has a magic to it. I don’t know if you remember , but one of the bridesmaids was playing the song during the photos session. Let it go. Let go of your worries. The song I chose for the teaser has a similar message. Live your life.

My only wish for Shivani and Arjun is that when all the dopamine and excitement starts to fade from all this wedding bliss , and you’ve possibly watched your awesome wedding film like 1,000 times in a row because you love it so much, gushed over Andrea’s beautiful photos, after that period of time when that and all the wedding planning , as Shivani said in her speech, “Wedding Wednesdays” are over, and distant memories… there is going to be a rebound effect where you may or may not feel a sort of emptiness after such a milestone occasion. There’s actually a phenomena that can happen post wedding that couples can experience where there is a bit of sadness, inverse to the happiness of the wedding. I speak with a lot of couples , and other videographers about happiness and depression, etc. I feel qualified enough to speak intelligently to this. I’m not some rando spewing nonsense. (at least in this particular situation- cue the link to my upcoming podcast and newsletter lol)

For reals, I want you guys to never take each other for granted and embrace the personal change and spiritual growth that you will expereince in your marraige.

Our time on this earth is short. I will close thoughts with a quote from Drake:“Everybody dies but not everybody lives.” So make sure you LIVE my friends, and I have no doubt that you absolutely will!

You have many things to look forward to, you have many things that may drain your energy, challenges and obstacles to face, but as long as you are there for eachother along the way, side by side, step by step, giving each other grace and space when need be, to find ways to recharge and spark joy when joy is needed…my friends - need not worry about your destination, or the next big milestone, or any troubles that may come your way, but your company along the way. Together you are stronger and can achieve anything your hearts desire if they beat as one.

Thank you. Peace be the journey.

PS- I actually hand crafted this , I didn’t use any chat gpt or copy and paste BS, I just wrote what I felt in my heart. Thank you again! Feel free to check in on editing progress in about a month and text me any time for updates, delicious two ingredient recipes, or karaoke adventures if you guys want to chill next time you’re in Chicago with Sanjana and Milan. Those two have a kindness in their hearts that is wonderful to see grow.
